The WellQC application is designed to control quality of geological and geophysical data. In the new version of the product support of such formats of well-logging data files, as LIS and DLIS has been added..
Viewing of data is implemented directly from the application by means of internal conversion into a more widely used format of data files - LAS.
The following built-in checks are performed automatically:
- Check for the existence of required field attributes (for example, Well, UWI);
- Checks of curves:
- Presence of data blocks of the curves;
- Correspondence of the numbers of the curves;
- Check for a data break (as per NULL-value, specified in the file);
- Correspondence of start/stop/step;
- Search for duplicate files (by means of computing md5-summ).
Upon a request from the user, other checks may be added to the automatic basic ones.
An example of such checks is presented below:
- Correspondence of the values from any block of the file to the dictionary values (taken from the database, or some other source);
- Check for the curve value, falling within the specified range;
- Presence of certain values of the fields;
- Check for additional fields, specified by the user, different from the format;
- Search for data duplicates (for example, curves);
- Cross-checks, based on the data from the files, etc.
In the future it is planned to further extend the supported file formats in order to perform quality control of the seismic data.
